Snoop Dogg is bringing a sweet surprise to Boys & Girls Clubs of America with his Dr. Bombay ice cream. This summer, the Long Beach native will host a series of events in his hometown, Pittsburgh, and Portland, Oregon, spreading joy and support through delicious treats and educational activities.

On Thursday, June 20, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach will kick off the festivities with an ice cream social. Youth participating in a basketball activity will have the chance to sample Dr. Bombay's snackable sherbet swirled ice cream flavors, including the newly-launched Strawberry Cream Dream and Baked Blueberry Muffin.

Following these summer events, Dr. Maya Warren, the ice cream expert behind Dr. Bombay's flavors, will lead a science lesson in the fall. This lesson will enhance the Boys & Girls Clubs' STEAM programming by exploring the sensory experiences of taste, smell, texture, and flavor of ice cream. The curriculum aims to expand into a broader program, showing how science, art, math, and technology come together to create favorite products.

Snoop Dogg's connection to the Boys & Girls Club at King Park in Long Beach is well-known, where he spent many summers during his youth. Reflecting on his experiences, Snoop said, "The Boys & Girls Club in Long Beach at King Park is where I spent my summers playing sports and cutting up with my friends on the court. Ever since I was a kid, ice cream was a way to chill, relax and connect as family. I'm glad we can bring a little ice cream magic to the summer, as well as give them an opportunity to learn something new and fun."

Two years ago, Snoop partnered with Under Armour and Golden State Warriors' MVP point guard Steph Curry to renovate the indoor gym at the club. The design by Damion Scott was inspired by the park where Snoop Dogg and his wife grew up playing basketball. The Snoop Youth Basketball League, operating out of the club, offers no-cost advanced basketball training and supports competitive travel ball tournament access for youth interested in organized sports.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach's summer program is packed with activities that blend learning and fun. Kids engage in sports, art, music, and gardening, along with field trips that promise new experiences and unforgettable memories. By incorporating educational elements into these activities, the clubs ensure that kids not only avoid summer learning loss but also have a blast.

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Bombay are dedicated to making a positive impact on kids and their families, focusing on youth sports and expanding their support nationally through various organizations, including the Boys & Girls Clubs and the Snoop Youth Football League.

Dr. Bombay Ice Cream aims to be an affordable and delicious option for ice cream lovers everywhere. The pints are available at major retailers, including Walmart, Publix, Kroger, City Market, Dillons, Ralphs Market, Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Pavilions, Star Market, Gopuff, ShopRite, and Winn Dixie.
