The 51-year-old, renowned for her role in "Modern Family" and currently starring in "Griselda," shared insights into her dating life during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Vergara expressed her love for the bustling metropolis, highlighting the energy and diversity of its people. Enthusiastically, she remarked, "I love it. Who doesn't love New York City? The people, it's the energy." Acknowledging her single status, she added, "I'm single now, so in New York, there are more people. There's not only actors or writers or directors; I think there's a bigger [pool]. I'm going to spend more time in New York."

The Colombian-born actress finds the city's diversity appealing, presenting a broader range of options for potential relationships. Exploring another aspect, Vergara pointed out the culinary delights of New York, stating, "There's great food for when you go out on dates. It's better, yes," accompanied by a smile.

This revelation comes after Vergara announced her separation from actor Joe Manganiello last summer, concluding a seven-year marriage. Briefly linked to Dr. Justin Saliman last fall, Vergara has been navigating the intricacies of her personal life. Speaking about her evolving journey during a CBS Sunday Morning interview, she mentioned, "I've been moving on." She also commended the media for their respectful coverage of her divorce, expressing surprise at the lack of sensationalism.

In contrast, Manganiello has been spotted with actress Caitlin O'Connor, marking a shift in both their romantic lives. The former couple issued a joint statement last summer, gracefully asking for privacy as they embarked on this new phase of their lives.

Reflecting on her transformative year, Vergara shared with ET in September 2023, "It's been very interesting, you know. It's been an interesting year for me. A lot of changes, a lot of good and craziness and bad things happen and good things happen." She emphasized the dynamic nature of life, expressing contentment and anticipation for more positive experiences in the future. As she embraces the opportunities that New York City offers, Vergara remains open to the possibilities that come with her single status.
