On Monday, Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet swiftly concluded their divorce proceedings, coincidentally the same day the former "Cosby Show" star petitioned a judge for the termination of their six-year union.
Court documents acquired by She's Single reveal that the celebrity couple reached an amicable agreement regarding the custody of their two children, child support, and spousal support. The court documents state, "The parties have a written agreement that will be submitted to the court, or a stipulation for judgment will be submitted to the court." This suggests that Momoa, 44, and Bonet, 56, managed to address their differences privately, and the divorce is categorized as "uncontested," sparing them a courtroom confrontation.
The terms of the agreement outline joint and physical custody of their 16-year-old daughter, Lola, and 15-year-old son, Nakoa. Importantly, the couple has decided to share the children's living expenses without the need for formal child support payments. Notably, both stars have chosen to forgo any entitlement to spousal support, a testament to the collaborative and amicable nature of their divorce.

While the divorce proceedings are progressing at an accelerated pace, Momoa and Bonet won't be legally declared as single individuals until July, as per the documents. Requests for comments from representatives of both Momoa and Bonet have been made by The Post.
The divorce filing came from Bonet on Monday, following their announcement of the separation in January 2022. In a joint statement at the time, the couple shared, "We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times. A revolution is unfolding, and our family is of no exception... feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring."
The statement continued, "And so, we share our Family news that we are parting ways in marriage. We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy but so that as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty. The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become. Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life & our Children. Teaching our Children What’s possible. Living the Prayer. May Love Prevail."

The revelation of the divorce caught their fans by surprise, and Bonet stated in the divorce filing that the date of separation was October 7, 2020. Although the couple began dating in 2005, they officially tied the knot in 2017. The swift resolution of their divorce indicates a commitment to maintaining a respectful and cooperative relationship, especially concerning the upbringing of their children.
