Let’s be honest some of us are not football fans, but many will be tuned in tonight for the return of Rihanna for the Super Bowl halftime show. The Fenty Beauty owner breaks her 5-year performance hiatus to return to the stage and grace us with a memorable presentation—my hot take will be published tomorrow morning with details and my full opinion.
But, to give you some information, she is set to perform at 8 pm/est. and we are ready! Last year, the NFL put on a spectacle at halftime with five artists—Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, and Mary J. Blige, this year, Rihanna is solo or so we think. Fans think she will be bringing out Jay-Z to perform their hit song, “Run This Town” or Chris Brown to perform one of their many collaborations. Either way, we’re all patiently waiting for the swag queen to grace us with her presence.

In case you missed it, Rihanna is not being compensated for her performance. With the Super Bowl and Apple Music footing the bill, we don’t believe any expense will be spared. But this is no surprise as history shows that artists are never paid to perform, the exposure is a form of compensation for the stars. According to an NFL spokesperson who told Forbes, “We do not pay the artists. We cover expenses and production costs.”
A few years back the Super Bowl learned that viewers were quick to tune out during halftime, so they implemented shows, beginning with the late Michael Jackson. In 1993 the pop star icon took the stage to perform which was recorded as a rating hit!
So, who is all excited to see Rihanna live?
Jay-Z of course was spotted in attendance taking photos of Blue Ivy.
Adele, for sure, “I’m going just for Rihanna. I don’t give a fuck!” This is the energy we love. We’re right there with you Adele, and we do hope Rihanna brings the vocals. Many joke on TikTok that if she starts the show with her most recent melody, “Lift Me Up” they will be turning the channel.
Chef Gordon Ramsay is also in attendance.

Normani and Ryan Destiny slayed!
Oh, and yes, we did spot Billie Eilish as well.
H.E.R. took to her Twitter to share herself (no glasses by the way) sitting close to the field and having some popcorn and snacks as she waits. This woman is stunning.
LeBron James and his beautiful wife Savannah. She gives off ‘kept woman’ energy and we love it. There you have it! We’re getting ready to tune in.
