Nicki Minaj's husband, Kenneth Petty, has been sentenced to four months of house arrest for violating his probation by posting threatening videos on social media aimed at Migos rapper Offset.

The sentence was handed down by the Central District of California, citing a specific incident where Petty, aged 45, was recorded making threats towards Offset while in the company of an individual with a criminal record.

According to the court order, "This recent violation conduct raises concerns of Mr. Petty’s willingness to comply with the Court’s orders." The probation officer recommended placement in the Location Monitor Program to monitor Petty's activities more closely, limit his movement, and provide sanctions for non-compliance.

The court hopes that Petty's time in the program will encourage him to reflect upon his actions and reevaluate his role within the community.

In a since-deleted Instagram Live video posted on X (formerly Twitter) earlier this month, Petty and two unidentified males were seen loitering around a New York City hotel where Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was rumored to be staying.

In the video, Petty repeatedly asked Offset for his whereabouts and used a racial slur. One of Petty's associates told Offset, "Plan that vacation, you gonna be planning your funeral, pussy!"

Offset responded to the video with a dismissive comment, saying, "I’m getting off a jet, he’s funny," implying that Petty was financially struggling. This video also reportedly violated Petty's three-year probation order that started in July 2022 after he failed to register as a sex offender in California in 2020.

Notably, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, who is married to Offset, have had a longstanding feud. In September 2018, Cardi B was allegedly photographed throwing a shoe at Nicki Minaj during the Harper’s Bazaar Icons party at New York Fashion Week.

This is not the first time that Kenneth Petty has faced legal trouble. In 1995, he was convicted of first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl and served four years in a New York prison. Recently, over 500 people signed a petition against Petty after he filed legal documents to update his address on the Megan's Law website.
