Movie Recommendations: What to Watch This Weekend | 08.30.24

by Venus Sanders

Welcome back to another rendition of 'What to Watch This Weekend,' whether you're boo'd up with bae or enjoying a single night in with the right glass of wine. Remember, ladies, if you're having any headaches when you drink wine—particularly red wine—it's because of the tannins found in it. As a regular wine drinker, I recommend white wine.

For these lists, I don't typically over-explain anything because I want you to experience the film for yourself and draw your own conclusions, but rest assured that as a cinephile, I watch a ton of movies! Not only that, but I would never recommend anything on this site that I don't think is at least worth a quick view if you're either looking to pass the time or genuinely wanting something new and interesting to watch. The rating system is subjective, but I recommend you use it as a way to determine which films to place at the top of your 'watch list' versus which ones you can check out when you're just in between new releases. So, let's get started!
